A service devoted to end-of-life care

My work through Gesher HaKeshet is devoted exclusively to end-of-life care and euthanasia at home. I do not offer routine treatments, vaccinations or general home visits. Your clinic remains the family’s regular veterinary home for all ongoing care.

When referral may fit

When a family wants privacy at home, travel is difficult for the patient, or a structured quality-of-life conversation is needed. Before booking, I review the medical condition, medication, weight, breathing, mobility and whether care can be provided safely at home.

A gentler option for everyone involved

When a clinic has cared for a patient and family over many years, there is often a deep bond and genuine emotional involvement. The final goodbye can carry real emotional weight, both for the family and for team members who have known the patient throughout their life.

A planned home visit by an independent veterinarian can sometimes make this stage gentler for everyone: the patient remains in familiar surroundings, the family has privacy and time, and the clinic team can know that the family continues to receive sensitive professional support.

Protecting the family’s bond with the clinic

For some families, a farewell at home also allows the clinic to remain associated with years of care, trust and kindness, rather than only with the final day. If they later return with a new companion, they can come back to the team they trust without the clinic itself being the place most closely tied to their loss.

Referral is not a step away from the family. It is another way to hold and support them at an especially difficult moment while preserving the important relationship you have built over the years.

What the family receives

A calm clear explanation, deep anaesthesia with full loss of consciousness before euthanasia, and time without a fixed visit duration. If the decision remains uncertain, the family can begin with a video consultation or home quality-of-life assessment.

Continuity and privacy

With the family’s consent, relevant medical history and necessary contact details can be shared with me. After the visit, I can update the referring clinic according to the family’s consent and professional need. Sensitive medical records should not be sent through the public website form.

How to refer

Give the family the phone number or contact-form link, or contact me after obtaining their permission. Phone and WhatsApp are answered Sunday-Thursday, 09:00-18:00; visits are arranged as needed beyond those hours.
